Homemade Italian Artisan Bread Recipe

Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (you can also use bread flour for a chewier texture)

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon sugar

1 tablespoon active dry yeast

1 1/2 cups warm water (around 110°F/45°C)

2 tablespoons olive oil (optional, but gives a nice flavor)

Extra flour for dusting
