Creamy Cheesy Potato Gratin with Ham

 

Ingredients 

  • Potatoes (thinly sliced)

  • Ham (cut into pieces or strips)

  • Salt & black pepper

  • Garlic (minced)

  • Butter

  • Cooking cream (heavy cream)

  • Milk

  • Grated cheese (Gruyère / mozzarella / cheddar)

  • Dried herbs or parsley

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Butter a baking dish.

  3. Arrange a layer of potato slices, season with salt, pepper, garlic.

  4. Add some ham and cheese.

  5. Repeat layers until ingredients finish.

  6. Mix cream with a little milk and pour over everything.

  7. Add cheese on top.

  8. Bake 45–60 minutes until potatoes are soft and top is golden.

  9. Let rest 5 minutes, then serve hot.
