- 1 lb (450g) lump crab meat, picked over for shells
- ⅓ cup (40g) breadcrumbs (plain or panko)
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- Juice of ½ a lemon
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, for frying
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil, for frying
